I am quite fortunate in that I produce a lot of content. I am unfortunate that most of this goes by the wayside. However, one item that has been picked up by local radio stations, that I am a part of – and proud to be, is Sound Of Wonder.
One of the constants in the past few years (nearly five) is my friend Stewart’s radio show / podcast – The Sound Of Wonder. It is a right laugh to record. I hope Stewart doesn’t mind me saying this, but reading and writing are things that he does not excel at, having (what I reckon is) undiagnosed Dyslexia. His “b” and “d’s” are the wrong way around.
So, to get him to pronounce a track by, say, Baba Zula – the Turkish Dub Outfit – is damn right impossible. But, it is a good laugh to record and the man has a following. If you want to read more about Baba Zula and Stewart, head to www.soundofwonder.co.uk.
You will be able to tune in to the show and find out more about it… It is a World Music Radio Show and Podcast. One worth checking out. Thankfully it is not a podcast of Peruvian nose-flute but one for Moroccan Hip-Hop, Ghanian Rave and Korean Electronica.
At the time of writing, this blog post will go out around quarter to nine-ish on the evening. The podcast doesn’t publish until around midnight – so, there will be a small gap between the post being published and the podcast embed going live above
